​Welcome

We are a group of local women who are supporting the greater Richmond community by contributing to local charities together, as a large group, to greatly increase the impact of our donation.  We are reaching out to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to join our group, River City Givers. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds.  Together we can contribute to the well-being of our community in ways that we never before thought possible.

As of January, we have collectively gifted over $133,000 to 25 local organizations! 

Our Model

River City Givers is created based on the group 100 Women Who Care, established in November 2006 in Jackson, Michigan.  That group established a simple way to raise funds efficiently and effectively for non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. The 100 women, at their first one-hour meeting, each wrote a check for $100 directly to the charity, raising $10,000 to buy 300 new baby cribs for an organization in their city.  Since then, 100 Women Who Care has grown and is being replicated across the country, as well as internationally.

We invite YOU to become a part of River City Givers, joining other women who wish to have a positive impact on the well-being of those in our community.  Members can nominate non-profit 501(c)3 organizations of their choice, presenting details regarding the charity. Visit our How It Works page.
